Whitley Bay, Sketchbook Original Drawing

This is a bit of a cuckoo egg. I found this tree in the garden of an abandoned Georgia town house in the north side of Whitby bay. I can only imagine in its day this grand old house was owned by a merchant of some sort with a full a complement of staff. Now days its pretty run down, the kind of property that’ll have Dion Dublin rubbing his hands together on homes under the hammer whilst considering the potential of splitting the house into flats and adding the building to someone’s property portfolio or maybe an Airbnb complex forcing locals out of there own town, whilst most of us watch on worrying about the rent but still considering a weekend away to ease the monotony of life caused by watching homes under the hammer and working too hard to pay the rent.
