This weeping willow is hanging over the little pond in the small Victorian creation, Clapton Pond Park. The park rather small but quite beautiful, it has a fountain, a play area, a pond with a dainty little bridge, ducks and benches which tend to be busier than most.
So apart from imperialism, pollution, high child mortality rate, poor working and living conditions, low life expectancy, exploitation of working class men, women and children, work houses, penal colonies, repression of women and eugenics the victorians really did know how to make a nice park.
