Hackney Downs Station Sketchbook Original Drawing

Sketchbook original drawing, drawn with light fast inks on location 22cm x 24cm

This tree is directly opposite Hackney Downs station. It used to be the front of a dividing wall between two houses. But for what ever reason the wall have been ripped out and the driveways and gardens of both house have been paved over leaving this small tree marooned in a desert of paving bricks. It all looks a bit strange, very lonely and i can’t imagine this young tree will survive the isolation and the car parking skill of the residents of these houses.
