Sketchbook original drawing, drawn with light fast inks on location 22cm x 24cm

I drew this on the hottest day of the year. The temperature was pushing forty degrees and i found this tree in the pub garden of the Chesham Arms. Although I was hidings under a parasol with a pint of cider this was definitely the hardest time i had drawing a tree. If you ever visit Hackney the Chesham is a lovely pub to have a pint, we almost lost this place to developers. But through community action the place survived and is stronger than ever.
