his baby tree is new to hackney narrow way. Before this tree was planted this area was open to vehicles, mainly buses. The narrow street was constantly backed up with traffic, blue exhaust smoke and people trying to shop. But now after the pedestrianisation a few years back its hard to recall or even believe that this was the case. Things a lot quieter now and this tree outside Shoe Zone will hopefully get to witness the gentler side of hackney than the one lingering in the collective ephemeral memory of pre-pedestrianisation residences.
