Sketchbook original drawing, drawn with light fast inks on location 22cm x 24cm

This hawthorn tree stands on a grass verge between two busy roads opposite the glove that fits, Homerton. According to English folklore the Hawthorne is closely associated with fairies and it is said never to fall asleep under a hawthorn as you stand a chance of being abducted and taken to the fairy neverworld.
Needless to say I didn’t see any fairies.
Not even a squirrel.
