This tree is just opposite the London tavern which is situated between Clapton and Stoke Newington. According to its Facebook group its been open since 1866. It seems more of a locals pub than most in Hackney having big links to the travellers and Irish community. As usual in 2016 someone try to knock it down and build “luxury flats”. Which mobilise the community and they petition the council and the planning application was refused. I must go in for a pint sometime.
